Sylvain Beyries has been playing trumpet professionally for more than 20 years, performing a varying musical styles in bands and orchestras including the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Mount-Royal Symphonic Orchestra and l'Orchestre des Grands ballets canadiens.
Receiving a 1st prize in trumpet at unanimity, he graduated from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and was awarded a grant by "Aide aux artistes professionnels du Québec" to study trumpet with Christian Léger in Lyon, France for a yearlong post-masters degree.
Currently a member of The Royal Canadian Artillery Band in Edmonton Alberta, Sylvain plays principal trumpet in the concert band and the Brass quintet.
He is also a graduate of Collège de Maisonneuve, Montreal, in Multimedia studies and has been involved in the production of many web sites and videos.
